I've got a lot on my plate if you check my GoodReads profile (which I would like to recommend to you all). Currently I'm reading All Shall Be Well; and All Shall Be Well; and All Manner of Things Shall Be Well by Todd Wodicka. It's a novel about an old man, whose life is pretty much over, who decides to chuck it all and live a life as his medieval re-enactment persona. I'm only 36 pages into the book, but it's pretty good so far. It's a quick sort of read at that. In a sense it feels similar to the Testament of Gideon Mack, which I reviewed a few months ago.
In Manga Land I'm on Volume 4 of Cantarella. Finally the Yaoi begins to creep into the plot. I've been waiting for it to show up, and it finally has. Subtle brushes of lips upon lips in the night. Oh how it makes my heart go aflutter.
Our April Book Club selection is Gargantuan by Maggie Estep. I've never read a Maggie Estep novel, but I feel madly in love with her as a NuYoRican slam poet in the 90's. Oh GOD how I yearned to hear her speak. She's got this series of racetrack mysteries, and I'm incredibly curious, because I do love the ponies, and I love Maggie... I'm sure it's going to be a good time.
I bought three videos last night at Best Buy. Frisky Dingo Season 1, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya v. 3, Doctor Who The Time Warrior (Jon Pertwee, Elizabeth Sladen and Sontarans!).
We watched the entirety of Frisky Dingo last night and GOD was that funny. Not until the very last episode of the season do you even know why the show was called Frisky Dingo, but it's SO worth it. And the fact that the new series plays right off of the old series is even more fantastically good. I'm so glad that I bought it. It's three hours DEFINITELY worth watching.
Tonight: Heading out to the OHF Spring Ball. Tomorrow. Finishing Taxes, and watching anime/Doctor Who.

I've been watching a hell of a lot of Adult Swim lately. I stayed up a bit later than usual last night because they were continually running this little blurb for "The Snuggler" showing this bear running across the screen saying "Hey, I'm the Snuggler." I wasn't sure what this was all about so I figured I'd stay up and watch it. Apparently the snuggler finds people who are sick or injured and then he snuggles them back to health. All the while wearing some extremely short jean shorts and a yellow polo. It was kinda weird, and kinda hot all at the same time.

The Snuggler was played by Zach Galifianakis.
Other stuff I've been watching:
Boondocks
Blood+
InuYasha (I know, the dub is horrible)
Deathnote
Futurama
Family Guy
And speaking of Family Guy, last nights family guy with the dirty old man organist playing "I know what boys like" was cracking me up.

Wow. I'm loving the new DVR box! :D Yesterday I watched an episode of the Closer, which I've been missing the entire season of due to Faeries and other commitments. I've also got it set to record Project Runway. Maybe soon I'll set up the Adult Swim shows I watch so I can go to bed at a reasonable hour. Then again, would I even go to bed at a reasonable hour just because of my DVR? Maybe, don't know.
Hung out with
c4bl3fl4m3 last night. We had comic geekery goodness followed by Adult Swim. It was a good night.
And today, today I will listen to Cher and Madonna in honor of last weeks PR challenge.

Saturday night, my place, 6:00 p.m. we'll be having a game night.
sqrlcub is bringing his classic "Dune" board game and we're going to try and figure it out. It looks like it should play for about 2 hours, maybe a bit longer given the fact that we need to learn how exactly to play it. You're welcome to come if you want.
Last night I stayed up watching Adult Swim, as per usual, and have been TOTALLY enjoying the Boondocks marathon they've been having all week. I laugh and laugh and laugh at that. Last night's was "The Return of the King" where in an alternate parallel reality Martin Luther King Jr was actually in a coma for 30 years and he wakes up to witness modern black america. Oh, it's bad. Though I think I'm tied on my favorites so far. It's either got to be "Grandad vs. Stinkmeaner" or "The Story of Gangstalicious." The former for the whole Zatoichi craziness and the latter for the scene of "thuggin' love" at the end. It's funny too how much material is connected in the show. Like when MLK is watching tv he sees the awards show where Eat Dirt gets hit with a chair and the video for "thuggin' love." It's just REALLY really good. If you haven't watched it yet it's coming out on DVD next tuesday. If I wasn't totally broke I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
ALSO last night the bit torrent that I've been downloading for two weeks finally finished. I now have all of the episodes and special movies from the anime comedy fantasy series "Slayers." Yeah, it was a lot. I'm going to have to buy some DVD's when I get paid so I can burn this monstrously huge amount of anime off my hard drive. I can't wait to get home tonight and watch it. SQUEE!
